Left 4 Dead 2 was released a year later in November 2009. The games development was started by Turtle Rock Studios, who were bought by Valve during the games creation, with continued development occurring at Valves studios. The four returning characters from Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 would have been Nick, Zoey, Coach, and Lewis. The Survivors are armed with weapons, but they may not be able to hold off the Infected for long. The Infected are always a threat in the Left 4 Dead series, and in this screenshot, we see them trying to take down the Survivors. The game has a massive mod community on Steam and, according to the platform’s own tracking, it still has over 30,000. Left 4 Dead 3 would have eight characters, four new and four returning each with their own strengths and weaknesses like it was a class-based shooter. In the latest screenshot, we see a group of Survivors trying to survive against the Infected. Even without massive or consistent updates, Left 4 Dead 2 is still thriving. Bill underwent only small changes during development. These changes range from changed Survivor models and features to the removal of infected and weapons. If the metadata on these screenshots is correct, the game was in works in 2013 and would have a sported a Middle Eastern theme complete with a Kasbah map. While Valve has yet to officially reveal Left 4 Dead 3, it was apparently cancelled in development.
